In 2014 Colorado's cannabis market, which was extremely experimental, stunned the nation with it's economic results. The legalization of recreational marijuana combined with medical weed last year in this state has lead to a staggering $700 million dollar dank industry. Some are calling pot the fastest growing industry in America. This is due to Colorado's impressive revenue from sales of the legal drug. With profits from both recreational and medical amounts of weed the state has proven that there is something to this legalization thing. Colorado collected close to $63 million dollars in taxes, so much they are entertaining the idea of giving some of the money back to residents.Other states are lining up to legalize Marijuana, even Texas is pushing to legalize small amounts of weed. Some states have complained that they are being saturated with dope from the legal states but lets face it is that really such a bad thing?
Legal weed brought in almost $2.5 billion dollars nation wide last year. These are no small numbers. Law makers are looking closely at the cannabis market in Colorado and other legal states. Troves of travelers are coming into Denver airport ready to spend money and support the growing pot market. Others are voting on cannabis issues such as the amount one person can grow for themselves. All of these particulars will be looked at closely this year while legal marijuana does it's dance.
Lets face it, weed is useful. Weed has it's place in this world and in this nation. We as peoples of this land should get together and educate the rest of the states on what is happening, and how marijuana can help the world. The pot industry is not just limited to smoking, there are all kinds of uses for cannabis. Get ready to see new "pot technology" in the coming years.
