May the Dank be with You
The revelations made by Jeffery
P. Terence epitomize the urgency for regulations against Dank
industries to be utterly erased. In summation of his discovery on the
website of the U.S. Census Bureau, there are “86 million full-time
workers who sustain, 148 million benefit takers.” Holy Shit!
The numbers instantly highlight an
attitude I have been espousing this year. The perspective that sooner
or later government will kill the host economy. It is sobering to
consider that there are nearly double the number of people on the
government dole than there are working full-time in the private
sector.
Based on similar statistics released by
the Heritage
Foundation, shows that nearly half of the tax money government
collects (after the Federal Reserve Bank gets its cut) is used for
entitlement programs such as medicaid and social security. The
lights are out. The party's over.
Once the numbers are even further
analyzed, it takes only a little time to discover the trend appears
to be heading towards a cliff. And in a big fucking hurry. Since
the late 60's and 70's, the numbers of those relying on government
assistance has been exponentially increasing. The plan devised was
supposedly for the purpose of economic relief.
The similarities and connections
between the 'War on Drugs' and the 'War on Poverty' are flagrant and
undeniable. The “middle-class” is disappearing. Nearly half of
the country receives some sort of government benefits. One in
thirteen American workers in on disability. We have a welfare
epidemic.
The answer provided by the state, “Me
Hungry! Me Want More!” And by default the recourse is to ask for
more from an already dwindling productive segment of society. Feel
the pressure. Feel the squeeze.
Meanwhile, government regulations are
impeding potentially fertile means of living. Dank has an enormous
potential to create an entirely new segment of dynamic entrepeneurs.
If we could all just get Uncle Sam to mind his own fucking business.
But the reality is, government seldom
relinquishes a stranglehold once it has achieved it. It typically
likes to sink it in even further. Until one day it suffocates the
host. Even in the absence of government interference, and theft
achieved through the 'War on Drugs,' Dank industries will be
confronted with the hoggishness of government entitlement programs of
the welfare/warfare state.
What is the welfare-class going to do
when the whole charade comes crashing down? It appears as though
they have already been taught to believe that what others produce
also belongs to them.
I do not intend to sound callous or
detached. I empathetic to the needs of those who are unable to
provide for themselves. But we have allowed for the genesis of a
culture that rewards dispassion.
Why create something if the motivation
to survive has already been satisfied by benefits from some one
else's labor? I am all for the leisure class. I do not like working
for very long, when I do work. And the goal of a productive society
is that the requirement for labor decreases. The US government has
definitely appeared to have worked-out a formula for decreasing
labor, however it appears the majority of society has suffered in the
process.
